Senior Cobol Mainframe Developer

Your responsibilities:

As part of our Cobol application development team, working for one of our customers on site (Brussels), you will:

* Apply your technical skills in functional analysis, technical design, application development, testing, maintenance and deployment within the large applications environment of our customer;
* Manage direct interaction with our customer, understand the specific and complex business environment ( social laws environment), check that requirements are carefully implemented by your developed applications, screen designs and data models;
* Implement your work through expertise in the Cobol development language and transactional processing systems;
* Deliver high-quality service within a large team and a long-term project;
* Be involved in quality control and testing procedures, create documentation and end-user support documents.

Your skills and experience:

* You have at least an IT Bachelor degree, or equivalent through experience;
* You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining applications written in Cobol 74 in complex transactional mainframe systems; experience in Unisys NX/ClearPath is an asset;
* You have experience with mainframe database management systems; experience in UNISYS NX/ClearPath DMS II is an asset, but equivalent experience on other platforms or database management systems is fine too;
* You have excellent analytical skills, a creative and problem-solving attitude;
* You act as an outstanding team-player and can work independently;
* You have excellent communication skills, with a real sense of listening and understanding business needs; you have an outstanding customer-oriented attitude, are service-minded and result-driven;

Role Purpose:

The group carries out independent monitoring of the ways Managed Service Centre agents handle customer telephone calls and of the effective usage of helpdesk tools, the quality of tickets and knowledge bases also taken into account.

Working with the Service Desk Managers, Team Leaders, Mentors and Agents, Business Excellence establishes ticket assessment standards, identifies opportunities for improvement and training, or any other areas of inconsistency.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes:

* handle call monitoring and incident reviews

* train new agents or hold refreshment trainings

* assist in quality review meetings; give feedback to agents; update documentation when requested

* contribute consistently to the achievement of Managed Service Centre goal

* escalate to the Supervisors any business or process areas that require improvement

* establish ticket assessment standards; identify opportunities for improvement and training, and any areas of inconsistency.

* conduct forums and workshops with Service Desk staff, giving them the opportunity to discuss call guidelines and other quality related questions

* active participation in ongoing quality initiatives at the desired level, detailed on the UGSH Quality Portal by considering all relevant objectives, policies and procedures

Key Qualifications:

* at least 6 months’ experience as an IT Service Desk agent is a must

* at least advanced level language knowledge in English

* native/close to native in French

* knowledge of any additional European language supported by Unisys is a plus

Role Purpose:

* Manage the ITIL Change Management Life Cycle in an IT Infrastructure environment. Deliver Service Deliverables to the Customer at a high level of professional services incorporating responsibility, accountability, integrity and quality assurance at all times.

* Ensure the Change Management Life Cycle is managed from the end to end process to a successful completion and that the correct approval process is followed for Emergency Changes with a minimal impact to the Customer business.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes:

* Manage the Change Management Life Cycle to a successful completion

* Liaise and co-ordinate the resources required to implement a successful change to the customer environment

* Chair, facilitate and obtain approval for changes via CAB and ECAB Meetings and produce a CAB agenda

* Manage the customer and operational group weekly meetings

* Ensure customer approval is obtained and technical peer reviews are completed successfully and approval given to the Change Manager

* Deliver monthly statistical reporting to senior management

* Ensure the change management system is updated correctly and the change requests relevant documentation is attached to meet audit requirements

* Effectively record, assess, prepare execute and review changes to the managed IT infrastructure

* Monitor progress on individual Request for Changes (RFCs) and escalate when appropriate

* Performs Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs)

* Maintain a coding system for classifying RFCs

* Report on process performance and possible improvements including integration with other service management processes

* Conduct assessments on priority, impact, resources, cost, benefits and risks of change and classify the change record in the appropriate tool accordingly

* Ensure that all related tasks to the RFC are updated and completed

* Maintain the FSC and other scheduled reports

Key Qualifications:

· Fluent English (both verbal and written)

· Be able to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and be accountable.

· Must have high level negotiation skills when working with Operational groups and with the Customer.

Ihre Aufgaben:

Anforderungen an umgesetzte Lösungen ändern sich stets in dem Maße, in dem sich auch Ihre Business-Anforderungen verändern. Als SAP Operations Consultant sorgen Sie dafür, dass SAP/IT-Lösungen auch nach der Implementierung Ihren Geschäftszielen gerecht werden und sich auch an veränderte Gegebenheiten anpasst:

* Durchführung von Betriebsaufgaben auf zentralen SAP Plattformen
* Monitoring, Analyse, technische Fehlerbehebung
* Management und Gewährleistung eines fehlerfreien Applikationsbetriebes
* Wartung von Schnittstellen, Erstellung von Spezifikationen
* Performance-Management und Optimierung von SAP-Lösungen

Ihr Profil:

* Mehrjährige Erfahrung im SAP Bereich; insbesondere in sehr techniknahen Aufgabengebieten (SAP Basis, SAP Schnittstellen oder SAP Betrieb)
* Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik oder vergleichbares Studium
* Einfache Grundkenntnisse im ABAP von Vorteil
* Sehr gute Deutsch- sowie gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

Ihr Profil:

Sie verfügen über einen Hochschulabschluss im technischen oder naturwissenschaftlichen Bereich, mit Schwerpunkt (Wirtschafts-)Informatik. Weiterhin konnten Sie mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung im SAP-lastigen Umfeld sammeln, idealerweise im Bereich der oben genannten Aufgaben.

Folgende Qualifikationen zeichnen Sie zusätzlich aus:

* Exzellentes Know-how in der Beurteilung von komplexen Architekturfragen großer internationaler Unternehmen und in der Erstellung von kompletten Designs
* Sehr gutes Know-How im Bereich Datenmodelierung und SQL

Der Umgang mit virtualisierten SAP-Systemen ist Ihnen vertraut und Sie haben Erfahrung im virtualisierten Betrieb und der Optimierung von SAP-Anwendung und Datenbanken in X64-basierten Lösungslandschaften.

Ihr Profil wird durch Kenntnis über den Einsatz und die Implementierung des SAP Solution Managers abgerundet, hier unterstützen und prägen Sie im Rahmen der fortlaufenden internen Technologie-Weiterentwicklung die Integration und den Ausbau unser eigenen Automations- und auch Partnerlösungen (vornehmlich CISCO Intelligent Automation).

Kenntnisse in den Bereichen SAP PI/XI, SAP SRM oder SAP BW sind wünschenswert, aber keine Grundvoraussetzung.

Notwendige praktische Erfahrungen

* System-Management von SAP NetWeaver mittels Solution Manager / CCMS
* Datenbank-Management von SAP Anwendungen (Oracle, MaxDB, DB 2 LUW, SQL Server)
* Betrieb, Performance und Tuning der SAP Landschaft
* Kenntnisse in SAP auf Linux und/oder SAP auf Windows inklusive der gängigsten Cluster-Lösungen
* Praktische Erfahrungen in der SAP-Virtualisierung mittels XEN, KVM, Microsoft HyperV und/oder VMWare
* SAP OS/DB-Migrationserfahrung (Zertifizierung hier nicht notwendig)
* Erfahrung aus SAP Upgrade-Projekten wünschenswert
* Optional Integrationswissen SAP PI / XI, Kenntnisse in SAP SRP oder SAP BW
* Belastbare Kenntnisse in mindestens einer Programmiersprache

KEY responsibilities

* Maintain financial records in compliance with US GAAP, Corporate policies and procedures and Italian Statutory principles and laws.
* Prepare the Annual Statutory Report (Bilancio Civilistico).
* Cooperate with the Corporate Shared Service Centres to ensure all transactions are processed timely and accurately
* Oversee Corporate monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting requirements
* Work with external consultant for tax accounting and reports, with Corporate tax for tax planning
* Work with international and local management to implement new processes and/or procedures or to improve the existing ones, maintaining proper level of internal control and ensuring compliance with local legal/fiscal requirements.
* Re-engineer the Italian Statutory Chart of account.
* Support internal and external auditors, interact with Italian Statutory Auditors for recurrent audits and statutory financial statements

Technical & Behavioral Skills

Qualifications

* Italian mother tongue, fluent in English
* Based in Milan, Italy
* Business Economics degree or equivalent
* Fully qualified professional with a number of years experience in multinational companies, using advanced IT tools (ERP) and working with international Shared Service Centres
* Problem solving skills and process approach
* Very good knowledge of Italian fiscal rules

Day to Day Work

Role Purpose:

The Service Request Coordinator validates and coordinates a variety of requests from the customer end user related to their hardware and software use.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes:

- Coordinate and follow up the requests
- Ensure these requests are executed within agreed deadlines in line with the Customer Service Level Agreement
- Prioritizing and understanding the implications of requests and consequent - multiple - actions that need to be taken
- To ensure correct communication towards fellow team members in terms of daily team work, sharing information, sharing workload, adjusting schedules and holidays with the relevant back up persons.
- To ensure the client is kept continuously and proactively informed on the progress of the submitted requests and that client relationship is developed and maintained. Ensure clear and polite telephone and e - mail communication
- Understanding the requests and their applications
- To ensure that any revealed process gaps or improvement ideas are escalated to the Team Leader
- To ensure that all hours worked on the account are accurately booked in Webtime and in Timesheet by the given deadline.
- Active participation in ongoing quality initiatives at the desired level, detailed on the UGSH Quality Portal by considering all relevant objectives, policies and procedures.

Key Qualifications:

- Fluency on German and Spanish and English
- 1-2 years of experience in a multinational environment is an advantage
